I forgot to post our pictures from our Utah trip. Phil's sister moved to Utah earlier this year. We came up for a visit during the sundance festival. We had a blast. This picture was taken at the Saint Regis where ashlee works. Beautiful hotel.

Wow... its been a whole month since I have blogged. I have been super busy planning my wedding and working that blogging was not exactly a priority. Well here I am trying to make it up to everyone in my blogging world.

*A couple of weeks ago phil and I have some engagement photos taken. If you would like to see some of them you can go to angelgphotography.com Scroll down and the first post should be titled phil and lexi ( that would be me). The photographer who took our engagement photos is also doing our wedding. I am super excited!! We are using these photos to create our thank you cards for the wedding.

*Phil has been working on booking our honeymoon, which I believe is going to be a cruise through mexico. Can't wait!!

*The Wedding planning has certainly been coming along. We have booked the photographer which is huge. The big stuff that we have left to book is the caterer and the DJ. We have some venders in mind, we just need to finalize some things.

* 139 days left until my wedding!! ahhh

I will make sure to update everyone throughout this crazy process.

This morning I was going threw the drive thru line at Starbucks and ordered my regular chai tea latte and butter croissant. I pulled up to the window pulled out my money and the cashier told me that the guys in front of me paid for my breakfast. What a way to start of the day huh. I thought that was so nice. I plan on doing something nice to pass on the nice gesture, I just have to figure out what to do. haha.

Phil and I are going to Utah tomorrow morning to visit Phil's Sister Ashlee. I am really excited and am looking forward to this trip. We get back on sunday so I will be sure to post some pictures. I hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend.

Wedding Planning

Alright there is 188 days left until My Wedding. Ahhhh!! The planning is actually coming along very well. I am still having fun with it so thats a good sign. As of today January 15th I have booked the church and have a reception site. I have bought my dress , the bridesmaid dresses and my flower girls dress. I have Chosen a florist and a photographer. The guest list is somewhat complete. I have booked my hair stylist and make-up stylist (She is a friend :) ). It sounds like I have a done a lot but when you look at the list I have left, this looks like nothing. Wish me luck! I would share my ideas for the wedding but... I want to keep most of them a surprise.

Last Saturday Phil's sister Ashlee came into town for a mutual friends wedding and to celebrate Thanksgiving. This is the first Holiday without Phil's Mom Terri. It was hard but I am glad we got through it. The boy's Made a fantastic turkey. They put a fosters beer up the turkey. haha I can't believe it turned out so good. Ashlee and I did the rest. Stuffing, Green Beans, Rolls, Mashed Potatoes and yams. It was quite an experience. Here are some pictures from our Thanksgiving Feast. I posted the pictures in the wrong order,. sorry.

Happy Wednesday!! Well my Grandma has been here for almost a week now. I have really enjoyed this visit as I do all the others of course. But this one has been especially wonderful. My mom, Grandma and I went bridal dress shopping the other day. I actually found a couple candidates. I am going back to look at them again on Thursday with Christie (My Maid of Honor) and then hopefully make a final decision. Trying on dresses was such an experience. Just ask my mom and Grandma.

I am really looking forward to this weekend, our engagement party. I am really looking forward to seeing our families and a bunch of our friends. I will definitely post some pictures after.

I found My Bridesmaid Dresses. $89 a dress at J Crew!! Pretty good for Bridesmaid dresses don't you think? A basic Black Cotton Tube Top Dress, with pockets. I think its perfect for my wedding and for my girls.

I decided I wanted to teach Preschool again so I went out and got me a job! I will be teaching in the 4 year old room at Fallbrook Presbyterian. I am really excited! My room is very messy though. Hello Everyone, I know it has been so long since my last blog ,I have been incredible busy. Phil and I have been living with his Dad for a little over a month now, which has been difficult but at the same time I know that this is where we need to be right now. We are all still just taking it one day at a time.

My Mom's Dad is not doing very well right now. He has struggled with Lung Cancer for a couple of years and now it has spread to his bones. She is flying out tomorrow to see him for about a week or so. Its not looking very good. I feel horrible for my mom. We have all had such a tough year and this just tops it off. She is soooo strong though and I know she will be able to get through this tough time in her life. But at the same time it SUCKS!!

On a better note.... Phil and I are going to Maui in two weeks for our friends Wedding. woo hoo!! I am so excited for this much need vacation. We have decided to slowly start to move back to our house once we get back from Hawaii. Hopefully getting back to a more "Normal" life. Or normal for us that is.

Anyways, I just wanted to check in with my blogging world. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Missing Terri

I am sure most of you have already heard of Terri's Passing. If you have not... My boyfriend Phil's Mother Terri passed away June 18th at 7:53 am. Her Service will be talked about for years to come. It was a complete Celebration of her life. At least 400 people attended. It was life changing on so many levels. This woman was not only my boyfriends mother, but she was a mother to me as well. I am not only grieving for my loss but I also grieve for Phil's. I don't even know what else to say. I miss her so much. Phil and I are currently living i Fallbrook with Phil's Dad Steve. We are taking it each day at a time. Thank you all for your prayers and support. You will never know how much it has meant to me.

Well we are almost there... Mom's Big Birthday Bash is coming up this Sunday!! I am soooo excited. This week is pretty crazy though for me. Well for Starters It's Zach's Birthday on Tuesday, woo hoo he will turn 22 years old. I am having my Parents, Zach and some of his friends over on Thursday night for his birthday dinner at my house. In the mean time I have a test, 2 papers due, a hair apt, last minute things to pick up for mom's party and of course lets not forget about work. Wow crazy week! Oh My Gosh It seems like it has been forever since I last blogged. I have been real busy with School, Work and planning My Mom's Birthday Party. Which by the way is going to be Great!! Great!! Great!! We are all looking forward to the party very much. Three More Weeks!!

Focusing more on this week... The boy's have their Spring Break this week which means I have to keep them busy. Tomorrow we have Travis's swim lessons and then off to the park for a picnic and play time. Thursday I am taking them all to the Birch Aquarium which they absolutely love. Then on Friday we are going to Sea World, (We all have passes) I am sure that day will be slightly crazy for me. Saturday, Harley Ride for Phil's Birthday and then dinner afterwards at Phil's Parents house. Then Sunday (Easter) I will go to church in the morning with Phil's Family and then off to my Aunt Melanie's House for an always enjoyable Gilmore Gathering. What a week right?

Oh No!! I forgot Uncle Gary! Please forgive me ! I did not know that your Birthday was in April. Sooo Uncle Gary's Birthday is April 28th and everyone better remember :)
Actually I wanted to post a picture of Phil's mom up here because her birthday is April 2nd but It wouldn't let me add another photo. Anyways we have secret birthday Plans for her!! I'll let you know next week how they turned out.
Phil's Birthday is April 12th which happens to be on Easter. He is turning 27 years old !! The day before his actually birthday we are renting him a Harley and his parents, our friends Justin and Debon and my mom and dad and I are all going to go out on a day ride. It should be a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to it and I know he is too.

Then comes Travis. April 14th he will be 2 years old. I have no idea why this picture came out sideways :/ I have been working for the family for little over 2 years now. Him and I are very close. Oh I just love him :)

Alright Danielle's came out small. I don't know how that happened either. I have no idea what you are doing for your birthday but I am sure you will have a great time doing whatever you decide to do. She will be 22 years old on the 20th of April. (My Cousin)
Then it's Zach's turn. He will be turning 22 years old as well. I don't think he has made concrete plans yet but I just feel lucky that I will be able to spend his birthday with him. Just like I have all the others!

Woo Hoo!! I am soooo excited about Mom's Birthday!! She will have to tell you how old she is. But I have to say she gets better and better with age, her looks and everything else about her. Dad and I are throwing mom a huge birthday bash. I mean we are inviting 90 people. ahhh She is aware that we are throwing her a party but she isn't lifting a hand organizing it or anything else , I had her promise. Which will be a challenge for her believe me. I am having a blast planning it. Dad hired a band!! and we are having it catered and all. It is going to be such a wonderful night. she deserves this big timee!

This is my new toy. Phil's parents got it for me for my birthday. It connects to my camera and extends about 3 feet out. It allows you to take pictures of yourself. For instance the pictures below of me and the boy's was taken with this attachment. You can't even tell that I am holding the rod. Kind of cool huh?

Gosh the boy's are getting so big. Ryan just turned 6, Dylan is turning 5 in July and Travis is turning 2 in April. I can't believe it!! I am so lucky to be able to see these boy's grow up. They bring so much joy to my life. I am very lucky to being able to spend so much time with them.

It was My Boss Tania's (40th) Birthday on Friday so the boy's and I decided to make her a special snack. We made decorations and all. It turned out really cute. She ever cried when she saw out surprise. We made fresh squeezed lemonade, which actually turned out pretty good. We had strawberries, cookies, carrots, grapes and goldfish for snack.

The animals even joined our party :)

I'ts our friend Alex and Didi's little daughter's Birthday today. Her name is Reese and she turns 1 years old . She is such an adorable little girl. We are so excited to be able to celebrate this day with her. I still can't believe that our friends are starting to have children. ahhh phil say's about 5 years :) but I guess we better get hitched first right? Isn't this picture adorable? While Phil's parents have been in Costa Rica, we have been watching their dog scooter. Scooter and Layla couldn't be more different. One is crazy and young, with lots of energy and the other is old and wise who enjoys long naps. But they have surprisingly gotten along so well. Today scooter is going home. A silent yippee for me. Back to just one crazy animal. This is a picture of Phil messing with Layla. She goes nutty over sock puppets :)

Well as most of you already know My Mother, My Grandma and My Aunts Carol and Wendy are all extremely Crafty. They are crafty as them come that bunch. I on the other hand go through craft fazes. I turn 24 on the 24th!! This is a picture of me with my family on my 21st Birthday. I know it turned out a little blurry but I just loved this picture.

I have work today but Phil is taking me out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Time flies by so fast. Before you know it I'm going to be married and starting a family of my own. But until then I like just living each day at a time and being grateful for having a wonderful family and Friends that love and supports me. What more could a girl ask for?

Valentines Day

Well Yesterday was Valentines Day "The Day of Love". I received a card from My Grandaddy Jack that put a big fat smile on my face. The little boy's I watch each made me a card and bought me Roses and See's Candy (yum yum). Phil got me a card and made me dinner, just as I asked :) Steak, Potatoes, beans and corn. He did a great job!

Today Phil and I went on a long walk with the dogs. We are watching Phil's parents dog Scooter for 15 day's while they are in Costa Rica. Then after Grocery Shopping at Trader Joe's, a quick stop at Target, the bank and then blockbuster, Phil and I went on a bike ride on the boardwalk. I am now pooped!! Just cracked open a bud light and I talked Phil into watching a girl movie"My Best Friends Girl" with me. I hope everyone had a wonderful day just like I did.

I Got into School!! I will be attending Cal State San Marcos in the Fall 2009. I am very excited. Now I can finish up. Finally!!

I have class this morning until 12:00 and then I will be off to get my hair done. After that I need to run to the store because I am completely out of groceries. I'll need to work on my online class at some point today and then I will be off to class again from 5:30-7:15. I hope everyone has a wonderful Wed!!

TV Troubles

Well it finally happened, our TV died. Phil's parents gave us this TV when we moved to Oceanside. Phil' thinks It's about 15 years old. That thing weighs a ton! Two day's ago it started making noises and yesterday the picture started moving back and forth. Then finally last night we heard a big pop and then it happened, the TV died on us.

My parents paid for half (My Birthday Present) Which was greatly appreciated. It is a nice Investment for Phil and I. Just in time for our super bowl party!!

Sea World

My Boss bought me a pass to Sea World a couple of Months ago so that I could take the kids. Last week when the older boy's were in school I decided to take my little guy Travis to Sea World. He loved going by himself. We had a really nice morning. We came on the best day to because their literally was no one there. The Pictures will really show you how empty the place was.

Layla Turns 1 Today!!

Happy Birthday Layla!! Layla is 1 years old day. So I thought I would post a couple photo's of our little girl. This is a picture of Layla the first day we got her. She was only 3 pounds!

I love this picture because her nose is filled in now, it's all black. But when we first got her she had all these little black marks on her nose. I thought they were so cute.

*She has many friends a Bull Terrier(Rosta), Chiuauah -boggie(I don't know how to spell that), French Bull Dog(Bruno), Dachshund(Harriet), Bull Dog (He-man) and a Golden Retriever (Marty) and I am sure many more.

* She has had surgery (Spayed)

She enjoys Running, Eating, Sleeping and Playing fetch with her mom and dad. She is a happy go lucky little girl who has a family and it's safe to say a fan club that love her.

Phil, Layla and I went to Fallbrook last night because Zach had a party at his house. Mom and Dad watched Layla for us so that worked out really well. This morning we got on the quads and cabota(spelling ?) and picked a million avocado's, tangerines, oranges and lemons. Yum Yum!! I will be dropping some off at my neighbors house, to our friends Justin and Debbon house and the family I Nanny for. I am like the Fruit Fairy :/ Anyways... I was pleased to hear that My Aunt Wendy and her family will be coming to visit in Mid-July (I Believe) I already wrote it on my calendar so I will make sure to be around. Hopefully I will be able to spend a lot of time with them while they are here, especially My Aunt Wendy. I also heard the my Grandma will be coming out again this year. I always have so such a wonderful time when she comes to visit. Well I hope everyone has a great week coming up!

Layla Survived

Well... Layla Survived. I picked her up this morning and she has been mooping around ever since. I finally got her to eat a little something. She couldn't resist the chicken I added to her bowl. I keep medicating her every 6 hours, I don't want her to be in any pain. Zach is stopping by tomorrow to check on her and give her her afternoon dose of pain medication. I am sure she is just happy to be home. I know I am Happy, We sure did miss her last night. My boss gave me a $100 gift card to Claim Jumper so Phil and I are going on a Date Tonight. While Layla gets some rest. I hope everyone had a wonderful Day!

Layla gets spayed today

This morning I had to drop my little girl off at the avocado animal hospital in Fallbrook so that she could get spayed. If you don't know already know this, the surgery consists of the Doctor removing her Fallopian Tubes, Ovaries and Uterus. She will have to stay over night just so the doctors can observe her and make sure she is OK after the surgery. We are also going to have her microchipped and have her nails trimmed while she is under. I have to admit I cried after I left her there. The people were great, it's just she looked so sad when I left, I just felt so bad. But I know she is in good hands. I get to pick her up tomorrow morning at 9:00. I don't work tomorrow so I will be able to fuss over her all day. Well I am off to juice it up and then work. I hope everyone has a great day and just send a little prayer Layla's way. Thanks

Girl's Weekend!!!

Well...Once a Year my Close Girlfriends and I go away for a Girl's Weekend. Two years ago it was Palm Springs, Last year it was Mexico and This year it is BIG BEAR! I am so excited. Our weekend will be filled with...Snowboarding, Chit Chat, Cocktails, Movies and Nice Dinners. And Of Course No Men!! We will be leaving the Boyfriends and Husbands at home. I wanted to share a couple things with you. This is a "Surfer Nome". We asked my parents neighbor Tim to make one for Phil (Christmas Gift). He makes them out of wood, hand carved. It turned out so cute. Phil Insisted we put it in our home :/

OK Phil over reacted in this photo obviously ha ha. (Don't mind the boxer shorts) We needed a new poker set so that was one of his gifts. Along with a new pull up bar, calendar and some charger gear. He never looks at my blog that is why I am getting away with posting this picture of him. :)

Layla got a couple of toys too. She didn't even know what to do with herself. My dad also got her a toy that is not in the picture. It's made out of the same material as a tennis ball but its a stick shape. She has been lugging that thing around ever since he gave it to her. It's by far her favorite toy.

Merry Christmas Everyone! It's very difficult to juggle Phil's Family and Mine when it comes to the Holiday's. We always seem to figure it out though. I went to my mom and dad's early yesterday morning, to spend the day with them. We had a Family dinner and then exchanged presents. Phil worked last night (Christmas Eve) until about 8:30. He joined me at my parents house at around 9:30. Then we are going over to his parents house at around 8:30am for breakfast and then presents with them. From there Phil and I are going to My Aunt Sherry and Uncle Ed's house in Corona at around 11:00am. We will participate in the annual Gil-Olympics,which is quite an event that I will explain to all of you at another time. At around 4:00pm Phil and I will be going from my Aunt and Uncle's house to his Aunt and Uncle's in LA (Temple City). We will stay there until about 9:00 I am assuming. and then.... Home to Oceanside. What a day right? Wish me Luck! Truthfully I am so blessed that Phil and I live so close to both our parents and most of our extended family's. It is so wonderful to spend time with them all over the holiday's.

I hope everyone has a Wonderful Christmas, I know I will.

Count Down...3 more days until Christmas!

Today I am taking my boy's(The kids I nanny for) shopping. They have a couple of things they have decided they want to buy for their mom and dad. I thought it was so cute and thoughtful so I told them we could do that today. After that adventure we will be making chocolate covered pretzels (Rods) with sprinkles. The boy's are going to hop into the wagon and we are going to pass out the treats to all their neighbors. They don't have school this week so I have to keep them busy. Tomorrow will be our movie day :) I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!
